lotrconfessions: I wish I could travel back in time and make Lord of the Rings part of my childhood. I wish I can travel back to when the books were first published. I would love to have this story be a part of me since its release. But then I think I would have been incredibly depressed upon hearing about Tolkien’s death. I got teary while watching The Hobbit trailer because I kept thinking, “If only Tolkien was here to see this!” He’s like a grandpa to me, though I never knew any of my grandpas (both died before I was born. Apparently they both were awesome like Tolkien, based on the family’s stories.)
